Rispoli!  I cannot be any more enthusiastic about this place.  It's a little homey place that offers an array of freshly baked, delicious desserts and sweets.  And it doesn't hurt that it has one of my favorite desserts/snacks.  That would be the *drum roll please* ... the LOBSTER TAIL (a version of a Sfogliatelle).  The "shell" of the lobster tail is made of layers of crunchy goodness, yielding to rich, fluffy cream filling inside.  The cream is the consistency of fresh, cold whipped cream.  It's so light, yet flavorful and not too sweet - you won't get the overwhelming gagging feeling you would usually get eating another cream filled dessert.

Rispoli also has an assortment of cookies, cakes, and other tasty sweets.  The Rainbow cookies are up to par with others I've had in the past.  The mini panettone was a little dry for my taste and kind of remided me of a biscotti.  The sesame cookies reminded me of sesame breadsticks - really crunchy and not sweet at all.  I loved the mini almond tarts - they were so flavorful with a chewy center.  -11/20/09
