My friends and I went here for a friend's birthday.  The night turned out unlike anything we expected and not in a good way.  The waitress was a little fireball with an attitude, but not the good kind.  She gave our party problems with our table and was aggressive to the birthday boy.  She even had the nerve to throw him out when he refused to take her rude attitude.  What made it even worse was that it was difficult trying to locate the management and sort out our issues.

To be fair, Hiro did have a few things to offer.  The decor was impressive.  There was a huge disco ball at the center of the dance floor,  glimmering lanterns scattered all around the ceiling, and live dancers that did aerial acts on cloth ribbons hanging from the ceiling.  It was fun to watch the dancers, but once their acts stopped, there was nothing to detract my attention from the less than impressive music.

I don't think I'll go back to Hiro.  It was a one time experience for me and there's truthfully nothing (definitely not the music that night) that would really persuade me to go back there.  –8/15/09

OVERALL RATING: *

PROS:
  • Trendy decor and ambiance
  • Fun aerial dancers
CONS:
  • Poor management
  • Rude staff
  • Poor variety and selection of music, maybe it was just the DJ for the night
